An enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms is possible across portions of Southern Kansas and Southern and North Central Texas. These storms may bring large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain. A brief tornado can not be ruled out but chances remain low.
According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, KS, South Central Kansas including the Wichita area can expect quarter to golfball sized hail, damaging winds up to 65 mph, and locally heavy rainfall. Storms in central Kansas will be strong with dime sized hail and 50 mph winds possible.
